Job Description and Requirements

Our client is a National Transport Business based in Coalville. They have an exciting opportunity with themselves for an experienced Transport Planner.

The role will involve planning customers orders and haulier allocations, you will identify cross contract planning opportunities along with placing work with the haulier network. A key part of the role is to ensure that all operational procedures are complied with and the appropriate documentation is produced.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Transport Planner with experience of planning general haulage or experience within a 3PL environment. Ideally you will have worked with multiple contracts/customers and have an understanding of FMCG transport contracts.

Key skills for the role are :- An understanding of Drivers Hours, MS Excel, Access and Roadrunner experience. It is essential the candidate has solid haulage transport planning experience, ideally with CPC.

The position is based on a Monday to Friday role 7am to 7pm you will need to be flexible to cover weekends and out of hours.

This position is a Permanent position.
