Job Description and Requirements

If so, our client, a manufacturer of a product that contributes to life saving, has an immediate requirement for an Electronic Engineer to join their expanding facility in Darlington.

If successful, your main task will be to take charge of designing and developing operating software for a thermal imaging camera TIC to be implemented on a FPGA. The job entails integration of the current software functionality and customization of the operating system for new products and future developments.


Relevant Experience
-Previous working experience with FPGA design at least 1 year
-A minimum of a year experience in video/image processing
- Previous experience with Quartus, Nios IDE and Time Quest programming tools
- Working experience with Thermal Imaging systems min :6 months
- Familiar with Altera FPGA IC&x2019;s
- Working experience with Altera Cyclone range of FPGA&x2019;s

Knowledge:
Experience in VHDL design
- Experience in RTL design and programming
- Work experience in FPGA Timing and Power Optimization
- Competent in C programming language.
-Previous experience with DSP designs.
- Previous experience of FPGA floor planning

Qualification/Attainments:
-BEngHons Electronic Engineering 2:1 or greater or MEng qualification
