In addition to supporting the Technical and Quality Managers with non conformance disposition and route cause corrective actions, there will be significant customer interaction dealing with customer visits and audits, as well as some opportunities to visit customers at their facilities which may involve occasional overseas travel. Candidates should possess a degree or higher qualification in metallurgy or materials science/engineering, ideally with forging or aerospace experience. Knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous: welding metallurgy, physical metallurgy of nickel, titanium and ferrous alloys; forge modelling; statistical analysis techniques including six sigma.
