Depressing? Not for us!

Who says that Blue Monday has to be the most depressing day of the year? We’re turning it on its head and making it an exciting one for our Nicholas Associates family. We’re embracing it and turning blue!

Reportedly, ‘Blue Monday’ is the most depressing day of the year. Miserable weather, that long wait until payday and falling off our resolution wagon. But we’re turning it into a positive!

Our fresh new branding has put a smile on people’s faces. Not to mention that our Engineering, Technical & Manufacturing, Construction, Executive search & Graduate sectors are as busy as ever. It’s a great day for Nicholas Associates!

This week, our engineering and graduate specialists will continue with the blue theme, this time on the ice. They are taking part in a Curling Competition at iceSheffield in aid of Cavendish Cancer Care!

So, despite the usual dampener Blue Monday brings, we’re really excited about it this year! However, if you start to feel the blues yourself, here are some things to do to cheer you up…

• Immerse yourself in TikTok – search laughing babies, animals, anything fun really. This is bound to pop a smile on your face!
• Get outside – Yes that’s right. It might be cold at this time of year, but some fresh air is bound to make you feel better.
• Get your groove on – Find your favourite playlist, hit that repeat button and feel the blues drift away!.
• Be proactive – Find yourself a new challenge, update your CV and apply. Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today! There are lots of great opportunities on our website, take a look here!

If you’re a manager, get your team involved in some social activities. Work applies pressure, but fun activities help your team let off some steam, so we’re making the most of our facilities and having a pool tournament in the Sheffield office!
