March: Our #GRADVICE
February saw the launch of our #GRADVICE feature across our social media platforms. This is a brand new feature that involves sharing weekly advice, tips and tricks for the benefit of fresh university graduates. So we’ve compiled all of our #GRADVICE for March…
First #GRADVICE – Exercise regularly
The first of our March #GRADVICE is to exercise regularly. We recommend trying to do a little bit of exercise each day, even if it’s just a 10 minute walk. It helps you stay relaxed and stay on track with the rest of your day. After all, a healthy life equals a healthy mind.
2. Prepare correctly
Preparing correctly for an interview is important. Write down your skills and competencies and make sure you know them before going in. This will help you convince the interviewer that you’re the ideal candidate. So the second of March’s #GRADVICE is to prepare correctly.
#GRADVICE 3. Read the job specification
Preparing for an interview can leave you feeling nervous. Our third tip for March is to read the job specification. Making sure you do this before an interview helps you understand what type of candidate they’re looking for, and how your skillset fits with the role. It also helps you relax as you will feel more equipped to answer their questions.
Fourth tip – Update your CV
So you’ve found your perfect graduate role, but is your CV ready to be sent? Our final piece of advice for March is to update your CV. It’s the best way to make sure you’re always prepared. So when you find that perfect graduate position you can go ahead and apply for it!
Our #GRADVICE tips will continue to be released weekly on our social media platforms, so make sure you’re checking regularly. Follow us on Instagram here if you’re not already!
